The snow is over my knee, the front door can't be opened until the snow is removed from the front. the snow drifts are over 6 feet in some places and my neighbors driveway has an 8 foot snow bank 30 feet long where the plow pushed his driveway snow.

Thank god for internet porn, that shit never gets old.

We're getting a significant bit of snow now - not like last week and nothing near D.C. but I'm no longer considering going out.

I think Pat Collins is drunk. Time to keep the TV on channel 4!

I'm waiting for Wendy Rieger to make an appearance. She was awesome during the December storm.

I can't believe anyone is driving. I-95 in Maryland is at a standstill. And now apparently the Wilson Bridge is shut down in one direction.

A church in NE DC collapsed under the snow. My liver may collapse as well.

I just woke up to the doorbell of kids wanting to shovel. Bless their hearts. I told them to do it. It's worth it and I'm helping both the economy and the community and saving myself a coronary. It's good all the way around.

I can see a semi-major road from my window. The traffic has really picked up in the last hour. Friends who live nearish to me have had no power for over 18 hours. They've called several hotels close by and they, too, are without power. I may be getting some houseguests soon.

My parents haven't had power since 5am apparently. My sister lives a mile from them and is fine though. So am I, luckily. I can't believe the fuckstick morons out there driving.

To make your point even more strongly, one gallon of water weighs 8 lbs 6 oz.

On my deck, (Falls Church, VA) there are 31 inches of snow and the skies have just started to clear so it's all over but the shouting. In Loudon County a far out VA suburb of DC, there are reports of places with 40 inches of snow.

It will be a while until things are back to anywhere near normal around here...
