I just went out and got the paper. It's nowhere near as big a deal as last week. My son dug his car out in less than 10 minutes and said roads were fine once he got out of the neighborhood. Took him 30 minutes to get to work where it normally takes 20.
I'm still guessing closed schools tomorrow.

Think I can find a dishwashing job in Key West on Craig's List? If we get more snow, I may just pack up and go.

A whole bunch of people were more determined than I was yesterday. But a throatee? What the fuck?

They've been getting crushed every summer for 17 years.

The snow on my street is up to my thighs -- had I actually tried walking through it. I'd say it's been since Friday since anyone tried to drive anywhere in my neighborhood. We're as stuck as anyone can be right now. At least the power is running and I have food and drink. But man, I can't wait for summer.

And already I do not like even a little bit the Post's weather blog's hint for Tuesday into Wednesday. Mother fucker cocksucker fuck me in the ass with a giant icicle. Fuck this winter weather bullshit.

Yeah. I heard 6-8 inches this week with possibly more on Saturday? Ugh.

On the bright side, it didn't take nearly as long to dig my car out this morning. Maybe 30 minutes. We turned on both our cars and let it run for about 30-45 minutes, which -- along with the blazing sun today thankfully -- helped melt the ice on the car.

The road that leads into our neighborhood is actually better than expected.

Is Metro supposed to be back to normal tomorrow? Anyone know?

My car is not good in the snow or in less than ideal conditions. It's sounding like it's going to be a week or more before I'm driving again. Ugh.

I know better than to disagree. :)

So what's the deal? Is your hood always the last touched by the plows? I thought you were close enough to the main road that your hood would get cleaned out by now at least.

Sounds like Tuesday may be the most optimistic for us. They'll clean the stretch of my street where the school is. But my block, much less the court I live on? Hellllll no. They get the main roads and keep on going someplace else.

Hell, by Tuesday night, you'll have another few inches of snow laying on your road. Weather.com calling for snow showers Tuesday and Wednesday.
