But hey, if you run out of booze, it's a pretty short walk to the main road and the bars, right?

I don't know who this Kwame Brown guy is in DC politics, but he's calling on Fenty -- or someone -- to close down the Federal Govt tomorrow. I like this Kwame Brown dude.

He's a DC councilman. I don't think Fenty is in charge of closing the federal government. City government is supposed to be open tomorrow. I've noticed DC is always the last to cancel schools and all that stuff. When it snowed a few inches the other night, they were the only school system in the area open on Wednesday.

Yeah. I got a feeling I'll be getting up early tomorrow, as usual. The Feds have been open all weekend, but that's because about 6 people work weekends. Gonna be a tough call for tomorrow.

I think a lot depends on if Metro can get up and running somewhat normally. If people can't drive because the streets aren't clear and there's no public transportation for them to take, I don't see how the gov't can open up.

Bingo. I drive, but I'll have no place to park tomorrow. Or Tuesday. Or Wednesday. Or Thursday. You get the idea. I'm within a few miles of a Metro, though, so I'll take that -- if it's running above ground. Lots of sun today, which can only help Metro.

The roof of our office is in danger of collapsing. I'll be telecommuting for the foreseeable future.

VRE is closed Monday for anyone who uses that method of transportation to and from work.

Man, from No. 1 overall NBA draft pick to bust to D.C. councilman. Not bad.

I assumed Tuesday's snowfall would bring something minor like, say, three inches.

Nope. We're supposed to get at least seven.

    Fuck. This. Shit.

Metro is not going to be fully operational tomorrow morning. They're going to go ahead with service in the underground stations only and try to open the rest in phases. Wow - guess I'm not getting into the office tomorrow.
