I Hate Snow, Part Whatever

CNN talking about a 50 car pileup on I-80 in Pennsylvania, involving 30 tractor trailers.

Shouldn't all these giant vehicles--maybe all the vehicles--be off the road?

 

You'd think, but no. Apparently there's some mysterious force that allows tractor trailers to get better traction in snow and go 60 mph when everyone else is doing 30.

 

It's called weight.

 

Took about 90 minutes to shovel out our cars -- again. The wind is brutal. And it's butt-ass cold. Just another day of debacle. What's new?

 

Probably about 8-9 inches here now and still come down steadily. We'll go over a foot before it tapers off at 8 p.m. or so.
Given that I'm not working today, I'll worry about digging out etc. tomorrow morning.

 

Lord, I do not miss shoveling snow.

It's called stupidity, because when one of the 60 mp.h. dipshits in a J.B. Hunt truck hits a pack of slow moving traffic they jack knife, and then the real fun starts.

Well, with that news, looks like I'm off tomorrow no matter what the Feds do. Nowhere to park at work and no Metro. Sweet.

 

We were put up in a hotel near the airport with the expectation of having to work today. Didn't happen.

We are not sure what time we are going to be there tomorrow.

Officially this is the snowiest winter since records are kept.

We are out of liquor and the ABC store is closed.

8:00 here in north/central Jersey. 18" on the ground and it's still comin' down. I texted my friends who live in the South and told them they all suck.
