Delaware Bay area looks to be the winner with this one

The long-range forecast for next weekend foresees another stab of Arctic air with accumulating snow in Dallas. Nothing like the blizzard we got Christmas Eve, at least — lows only around 20.

Bring it. I'm sick of rain and ready for a change of pace.

I feel for the DC-Virginia-Maryland SJers. Anything over a foot of snow is a pain in any city, but here we're all much better prepared. There isn't a house on my street without a snowblower or (for the richer folk) a plow service. Also, there are lots of municipal and state snowplows. A big storm is 24-36 hours of paralysis, and then it's just more dirty snow on the side of the road.

They have no clue now what it is going to do here. My wife's school system has already announced an early release, even though they're still saying rain tomorrow.
My daughter was coming in for a visit but her area is supposed to get slammed really hard.

I hate snow, in case I haven't said that yet.

Looks like 4-8 inches in Indianapolis, right in time for Friday rush hour. Yeehaw.

Very comforting to watch the local news and get the updates from the top local weathermen...in Miami for the Super Bowl. Someone tell me how that travel gets approved.

And just think if the Jets and Giants get their way and the Super Bowl was in New Jersey this weekend.

And up here in Toronto, there's no snow in the forecast for the next week.

Mostly sunny with lows of 9 or 10F

We've had zilch so far this winter.

Same here. A very boring winter so far. Sunny. Clear. Temps in the 40s and 50s. 10 inches of snow total in two-plus months. Yawn. I'll take a big snowstorm at this point just to make sure the lawns are green in May.

More than a foot, maybe two feet, expected here over a 36 hour period. The liquor store looked like it was the day before Christmas with people going in and out quickly. Grocery stores were packed earlier today. This shit sucks, but at least this time I don't have to be anywhere at all this weekend. I plan to drink, shovel, watch sports, drink, shovel, watch more sports, shovel more, and then drink more.

Is there some sort of sporting event this weekend to watch?

Well, the Caps play Atlanta tomorrow night. On Sunday they play the Penguins. Maryland hosts UNC on Sunday too. Villanova plays Georgetown, weather permitting, on Saturday. And some sorta football game later on Sunday too.

Or, as a friend of mine's roommate asked her, "oh, the Super Bowl is this weekend?"
