Hang in there, my friend. You're in great hands at Yale.

Sounds like once we get the next set of results we'll know a little more about coming treatment(s).

In the meantime, we're also going to start looking to bundle diet and vitamin upgrades (there are, for example, anti-oxidant foods terrific for general health - but which interfere with chemo uptake or radiation therapies); increase hydration to the extent possible and maintain an exercise routine.

Be sure to ask about gene therapies as well as the gold standard stuff like surgery/chemo/radiation. Yale and S/K will also have plenty of clinical trials in which you might choose to participate.

Anyway, we're all here for you.

DM me if you have specific fears or concerns or questions. I send the love of the household.

I don’t know anything about the cancer and I know you said you don’t want sympathy, but that’s all I have. Good luck and hang in there.

Shoot - I hate hearing this. Know you aren't alone CDB - there are many people going through this, and many, many, many people who have gotten through it and put it behind them. While doctors and medicine are great at what they do - I know people also benefit from finding a group to help them deal with suddenly being in the club nobody wants to be in and the many questions it raises. Everything from stuff like power of attorney, wills etc. to the big "Why?" Do whatever you need to in order to focus completely on beating the hell out of this thing.

So very sorry. message me at any time. I have stage II+ bladder cancer. Ive just completed 4 cycles (8 treatments) platinum based chemo plus clinical study use of immunotherapy. I have surgery to remove my bladder and some other body parts I've grown fond of over the years. Mine has not metastasized and I have post chem scan on Friday. I cared for my wife through five plus year of Triple negative metastasized breast cancer and I have my own experience as a patient. Im honest and realistic but still positive. you will get through this.
As long as there is a plan there are ways of coping, dealing and living. YOU will go through some shit and come out on the end. Eventually, it'll be a life story you tell having come out the other side.
