He's Canadian, that's an everyday word up here.

Far left. Leave it to Brent to bring a briefcase to a pool party.

Ed Pope in the orange cardigan, no?

And who's the dingus with the newspaper on his head?

What I find amazing about that photo is that Namath's tan make him look like he's spent a month in Acapulco, not the fall and Winter in Queens.

And I thought Musburger and Palmer were great. Of course having so many great plays helps, but for a game with that kind of pace - they never seemed to lose their place and stayed on top of everything.

Yup Brent and Jesse were up to the task of a big game. It would not have been the same with Fowler's
bland style. Feel bad for Herbie.

Careful or Tinkles, err, Fowler will punish you, Boom.

Certainly protecting a white bald spot. Look at his upper arm. I'd say before Super Bowl week he hadn't felt the sun's rays since October.

Hah, I hate to piss in Fowler's cornflakes but clearly Brent should still be the #1
college football guy for ABC/ ESPN.

Fowler does a great job on Gameday and serviceable job as play by play announcer
but he is just not up to the task of being in the number 1 chair.

It's ironic that I read this thead and thought about how much Uncle Brent still has that "pull" when it comes to viewers. Watching the Iron Bowl on Saturday night, I was on Twitter chatting with a few people I converse with on there, and we were coming up with Brent Musberger Drinking Rules, Brent B-I-N-G-O, and chuckling at gambling "expertise", which always made those insinuate that Brent laid money on a team to cover.

I'm part of a generation that has witnessed the transition from the iconic announcer with a voice and unmatched ability to tell stories, to the stiff bland robotic announcers who are muted for showing any natural reaction, for fear of being called as a "fan boy." exmediahack wrote about the "exhaustion" that Fowler might be dealing with by doing the studio show and the game. I never thought about the things and situations that mediahack brought up. I had no clue how difficult it us.

Which brings me to Finebaum and his film room deal during the Iron Bowl. I enjoyed the analysis side of the special, notably Marcus Spears (someone mentioned hm) and Greg McElroy, but it was Finebaum and his crazy ass callers it what made this show a spectacle delusional maniacs.

Brent will call the Orange Bowl, Nessler gets the call of the second semifinal instead.

My New Year's Day would be better if I did not have to hear from Holly Rowe on The Sugar Bowl.
    Should be Samantha Ponder

Fitting that Joey Galloway is doing Camelion Bowl. Will he show up as good Joey or Bad? Either way
I do like his work as announcer.

Surprised that Tebow did not get a game. McEllroy did.

Don't get the Dave Diaz - Infante thing.
