I love Brent. Met him a few years ago here in Indy when he was part of the ABC broadcast team at the Indianapolis 500. He was horribly miscast as the preview host for the race, but so what? It was fun seeing him around. I met him at a team's PR dinner and we talked about horse racing.

That's another thing about Musberger and Michaels, the subtle and not-so-subtle gambling references. Pretty sure Fowler has never been to Santa Anita.

Has anyone caught Brent and Jesse Palmer on SEC game?
I bet they are a pretty good combo. Brett always did a good
job in drawing Herbie out and I'm sure he does same for Jesse.

Herbie sounds a bit flat now with Fowler. Just no energy to the
    broadcast.

Jackson also did college basketball with Dickie V in the late 80s/early 90s on ABC.

Walker down the field... he's at the 25, still going... fuuuuuuuuumBLE!!! (The way he drew out fumble was great.)

Keith Jackson is probably the greatest multi-sport announcer of all time. You put him on anything, it was a big event. And he brought it every time, no matter what he did.

ESPN has gotten what it has wanted with the placement of Fowler in the lead role: No controversy. Stilted. Scripted. Blah. Boring. He's mayonnaise.

Lengthy but tremendous tribute to Keith Jackson. Makes you long for those
    days.
