Ha. My bad there, Rocket.

I wasn't paying very close attention until the guy -- uh, ESPN is now reporting that it was Desmond Howard -- started talking about Cal and Texas. Looked up, figured it was Rocket.

Ah well, shit happens.

If the worst mistake I make this week is confusing Rocket Ismail and Desmond Howard in a post on an anonymous message board, I think I'm aight.

Honestly I couldn't tell the difference between Rocket and Howard. I'd only seen them with their helmets on.
So, profuse apologies for getting that wrong.
Angola! regrets the error.

 

The link from the Deadspin site to a Aggie fan site says he made the same mistake before the Poinsettia Bowl and at halftime of the game. God knows I've made a couple doozies in my day, but somebody at least corrected me on it.

 

And Desmond just apologized for his gaffe on the "Budweiser Hot Seat."

 

I'm sure countless millions heard a breakdown of the Holiday Bowl during halftime of the Poinsettia Bowl. Wasn't Law and Order on USA?

 

Did the day end in "Y"?
Then, yes, it was.

 

And if you watch the YouTube clip on Deadspin, it sounds like Howard butchers McCoy's first name. Sounds like he says either "Tate" or "Cate" McCoy.

This guy should be fired yesterday.
