    I'm sorry to read this. That said, hospice was absolutely wonderful for my mom at the end.

    So sorry to hear that you are calling in hospice. You may still need to arrange for help in his care. We just went through this with my mother-in-law, though the situations were a little different. We ended up arranging for around-the-clock care with the help of hospice. Just be with him as much as you can, for him and for yourself.

    Regarding the apology, that was well done. I might have included a reminder that even though you are apologizing for the way you reacted, they still screwed up and they should correct the flaws in how they handle such situation before making things harder on the next family that comes to them for help during a very difficult time.
