I know, right? What was that about?

 

I would pay $50 to watch Billy Bob Thornton break down that video in his "Bad Santa" character.

 

"Santa Claus has a cute little pot belly."

 

I like to see him break down Halle Berry ..... again.

 

This is sadly indicative of where American culture has gone in 35 years. Two cool kids -- one a hardscrabble and streetwise city boy -- move to the burbs, the guy adds 50 pounds and they both pick up a country twang and a love of line dancing.

 

In reality, Olivia Newton-John's husband never came home, did he? Is that guy still trying to fake his own death? Or did he get caught?

Edit: OK, I guess it was her ex-boyfriend. And he is alive, and he is working as a deckhand or something in Mexico.

 

Did anyone notice whenever they sang the line about "makin' love all night," they cut back to a shot of them in the convertible? Why? WHY?!!

This video will haunt me.

 

I've just watched it for a third time.

It will be a squeeze. It will be a squeeze? WHAT DOES IT MEAN, DAMMIT?

 

Based on the look of the town I think it means that everyone is tight on money but they will make do to celebrate Christmas.

 

That video makes me wish I'd chosen to watch a 'Friends' marathon with Dick and Creosote.

 

Even the early-50s Thunderbird, perhaps the coolest car ever, fails; worst car color ever.

 

There have always been murmurs of a Grease reunion movie that shows the Zuccos in middle age. If this is what it took to make that idea die a whimpering hopeless death, I can accept the sacrifice.
