John Travolta runs like the kid in Meatballs.

Upon 7th viewing, I've decided it's delightful. All the proceeds go to charity, for gosh sakes.

Turns out all those seemingly random folks are Ocala locals the Travoltas have befriended.

E! Online raves about it in this review:

Upon reflection, Ocala is the perfect place for a Scientologist to live. A plastic paradise that had any trace of its soul vacuumed out decades ago.

Actually, that E! Online slobberfest is even worse than the video.

Poster update: Lugnuts is now giving out pamphlets in the Ocala airport.

That is the part that bothered me the most. I actually interpreted it differently than you: I saw it as no one was there to great him, so the security guy decides to just give him a hug and make him feel better.

And they end up line dancing together! Storybook ending.

And then one day you find
Twelve years have got behind you

I rewatched the original video with the sound muted. Even then it was terrible enough to make me shudder. And yet at the same time it was strangely nostalgic, though not in the way any of the people involved in creating it intended. But in the sense of “This is what used to pass for a low point in culture and entertainment.”

Still I do not think you might like it.
