I thought the Bartman doc was going to be part of 30 for 30

I've always felt Bartman really blew it by not cashing in on his notoriety. He could have turned a negative situation into a big positive, at least for him personally, but instead he chose the silent victim in hiding approach that really hasn't helped him at all.

I don't think he would have been doing himself any favors whatsoever had he made light of what happened. I think he should give some interviews, although I could be completely wrong - I don't know what goes on in the guy's heart. I don't know what his day-to-day life is like. Probably fine. But I think it would have been very bad for him to make a joke out of it.

I think what we basically have here is a guy who isn't interested in being defined by five seconds of his life. He's moved on.

I've always assumed that part of the reason he hasn't spoken is because he feels terrible. Obviously I have nothing but his life in hiding to base this on, but if he's as big a Cubs fan as we're told, he's probably spent the years kicking himself for getting in the way of his long-suffering team and being part of the reason they didn't advance. I'm sure he thinks about it every day. If he's THAT big a fan, he may feel like the driver of a car in an accident where the driver's friend was killed. He made a mistake with (in his eyes) a very costly penalty, and he regrets it terribly, and he wants to move on but it can't be completely forgotten and he doesn't want to talk about it. I'd wager serious dollars that he's even been in therapy because of it.

Again, I have next to nothing to base this on, but it's what I've always kind of assumed.

Hasn't helped him at all? Sounds like he's doing great.

Me personally, I hope he never speaks. He's showed great resolve in not cashing in on the situation to date. The story would lose some of the mystique if he eventually did speak.

Just because most people are morons doesn't make Bartman any less of a moron. He interfered with play. Inexcusable. Whatever effect it did or didn't have over that game doesn't mean shit. He f'd up royally.

    PS: F*ck the Cubs.

It's amazing -- absolutely amazing -- that in an age when anyone can find out just about anything on anybody, Bartman has achieved anonymity. Mind-boggling.

    And that's the story.

What was up with that about using the steam from a disgusting baseball to help make spaghetti? Yuck.

Grant DePorter of Harry Caray's is as big a publicity whore as anyone, that's what's up.

Did Moises Alou ever actually touch the ball with his bare hands? Might be a health violation for the restaurant if he did.

  11. Did they show the clip of Dan Patrick and ESPN being fooled by a Steve Bartman impersonator during a live Sportscenter?
