The gall of this man is unbelievable.
He pleads guilty to a crime he claims he didn't commit, and then promptly blames it on the Idaho Statesman!
How much Washington herb do you have to be smoking to find any of that rational?
Does he actually believe his denials?
Nightline had a good piece on last night where they were inside the Statesman office talking to the managing editor and the beat writer about the story they held and later ran on Craig. The editor said he didn't feel he had the authority to say if he was gay or not and that it wasn't really the issue anymore.
It made Craig's accusation that they were running a 'witch hunt' against him look even more foolish.
The sad thing is, when he resigns, I'm almost sure he's going to blame the media for singling him out and making it a bigger deal than it was. Fucker.

  2. Joel, you've missed the point. He went through a series of actions that, apparently, are typical of a man trying to solicit sex in the bathroom.

Why did he say on the tape, "I don't do these kinds of things?"
Why did he pick up a piece of toilet paper off the floor?
Why did he get up without flushing?
Why would the cop make all this up? If he was just out to get the guy, why would he keep it quiet for months?
It's pretty clear the senator regularly picks up guys in the bathroom and he just got caught this time.

It's a legit charge. It's a public restroom at an airport. You bump a guy;s foot by accident and next thing you know you're late for your connecting flight. So it's a public transportation issue.

Certain actions give away whether a person did or did not do a certain act or crime, despite what they might say or claim. Like pleading guilty. If you didn't commite the crime you are accused of in this case, you are certainly not go to plead to it. Ever. No gray area, no excuses.

Kind of like if you didn't commit a double murder, you wouldn't be fleeing from the cops in a white Bronco. Actions speak louder than words.

The fair Senator got caught with his pants down in an airport restroom. With a raging hard on.

You can't get a better day to do it than the Friday before Labor Day Weekend.

    Over/under is revised to 3:00 p.m today.

Sen. John Warner (R-Va.) evidently has a presser today; he could announce his retirement.

Strong chance for a Dem pickup (former governor Mark Warner) in '08 if that happens.

Craig will kneel down. Too easy, but the guy obviously was aware of what he was being accused of doing, why the resistance on admitting it was his left hand, palm up or palm down?
Love his arguments though - straight out of the GOP handbook. "It doesn't matter what you saw, or what you say happened or isn't happening, you're wrong and I/we know better than you."

"There are no plans at this time to do the story," said "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf through a spokeswoman.

But some "Law & Order" fans aren't buying it.

"I would wager that there might be an episode within a month if they get on it really fast," says Kevin Dwyer, co-author of the book "True Stories of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," which is being released this fall.
