I'm going with Chris and LaKisha, who made up the stagger from last week, but it might not be enough. Phil was solid both weeks, so he stays.

Jordin stays based on last week, and because enough people would vote for her, regardless of whether she's a mess like she was last night.

I was over Jordin weeks ago, back when the Jordin love wagon was full speed ahead. She did everything wrong last night, right down to her hair. Why do something different with your look when you're in the driver's seat? But yes, she probably stays with last week's votes.

Melinda should just get a bye to the finals.

I became convinced that the judges were told (or realized) that it was in their best interest to make it seem like it was possible that someone other than Melinda could win...

...Except admit she had a bad night. That she did right, and it will endear her to a lot of people.

Blake's awesome, and I really hope he makes the top 3 because the top 3 get jetted back to their hometown and their whole backstory is told.

I don't know his story, but here's what it might be:

Blue collar Dad who totally believes in and supports his son's musical career, unlike what many other parents would do.

Blake may have skipped college to F around, get tats and beat box in the clubs late at night.

Dad sends him money every now and then - support never waivers.

That kind of story makes me teary. ;D

The end of Blake's story will be him, Sanjaya and William Hung opening for Justin Guarini at the Opelika County Fair...

Not everybody can rip off Live covers and claim to have written songs they didn't like Chris Daughtry.

If they made comments about Phil or Sanjaya winning, sure. But because they made the comments to Jordin, I can see it. That said, I've never totally been sold on Jordin.

Well, they have to be smart about it... I think they picked the people who they figured would finish second and third and then began talking them up a bit more...

  9. According to dialidol.com, Melinda was second from the bottom last week. She is third from the bottom this week.
She is clearly the best singer, but I could see her looks and her age costing her votes with the younger audience (which means she's probably doing even worse in the text voting), so I really don't think she will win.
It won't matter. She'll get a recording deal anyway (as will Blake and Jordin).

Blake totally butchered that song. John Lennon is still rolling in his grave.

Vote for the Worst has now decided Phil Stacey is the worst.

    They've jumped the shark.

You're obviously not a Blake man, Dignan, so we'll hafta agree to disagree on the quality of Imagine. I will say that doing a faithful version of Imagine may have pushed him to not do the same with another iconic song.
