Yeah, but to compare her to Mariah Carey, that's a bit much for me. Let's start with the next JoJo and see where she takes it from there.

Are they seriously doing a BeeGee night again? Why?

I'm guessing Blake does "New York Mining Disaster." "In the event of something happening to me..."

Think back to last night when they showed faces of the contestants during Chris's final song.
Did Melinda look worried, relieved or concerned she'd be next?

Good, because the only two I could think of were Starbuck and the Dog-face boy...

Don't feel too bad, I've never heard of her either... :D

I'm a big LaKisha backer but I think Melinda is more ready to become a star. The final four is an awesome field and all four are marketable. Jordin is young but watch her in years to come. The lone guy has some talent and could be a one or two-hit wonder.

Melinda has the best voice and knows how to use it.
But is she marketable? Can she find her niche like Carrie, Kelly or Fantasia or is she going to wind up a lounge act like Ruben or Taylor?
Will people come out to see her once the original novelty wears off?

I give you even odds that "To Love Somebody" makes an appearance next week. Maybe Michael Bolton can come by to teach the Idols how to beat that song into smithereens. "I Started a Joke" would be a good Idol song, as well.

Next year, there's gotta be a Kenny Rogers night.
