They're also the two most liberal Republicans, if you would.

Just in case you're still lurking, the reason why they decided to pick 35 as the age was to prevent the possibility of young kids getting control, which had plagued some other countries.

In England and other countries throughout history, there were cases of kings and queens dying and leaving 6-year-old heirs in charge, although adult regents were usually appointed. This often led to chaos, with the adults vying for power, and wars being fought.

Also, people only lived to their 40s at that time, so it was seen as letting the oldest people being allowed to govern.

The guy thinks public schools are havens for student indoctrination. The guy's so socially-conservative he's out there
between Saturn and Neptune. He has a right, and if you want to follow that line, God bless, but the vast majority
of the population (say, at least 73%) has no interest in pursuing his path.

I'm digging that Herman Cain ads have found a way to this thread.

I see not one but two. Fantastic. If only a Godfather's was around here. I know what would be for dinner tonight.

    Christie announcement at 1 p.m.

    I have a feeling he's not running.

The best choice isn't on your list, Mizzou: Russ Feingold.

Personally, I would love to see him get in this year to make Obama back up his occasional tough talk about being for workers, unions, the environment, etc.

Doesn't appear like Russ is interested, though.

He was a damn fine legislator ... he'll pop up again somewhere.

Seeing tweets that Palin is announcing she won't run.

Dems have to be disappointed Palin isn't running. Obama would have crushed her.
