Know a guy who can name the starting quarterbacks and the final score for every Super Bowl. Not to mention rattle off a bunch of stats for the qbs.

 

Not as arcane, but here goes...

* The face of the comic book hero Captain Marvel (y'know...Shazam!) was modeled after TV legend Fred McMurray.

* Gerald Ford is the only man NEVER to be elected vice president or president yet still serve in both roles.

* The Navy term head (bathroom) is supposedly so referred to because in ancient days, they'd often put the piss pots up at the bow of the ship so the wind, coming from behind, would push the odor away.

Tons of arcane Civil War stuff, state capitals, presidential stuff, American geography, pre-1980s baseball history, before I lost interest, college nicknames, etc. ... It's amazing how often this "useless" information comes up in real life.

Providence and Boston are the two state capitals located closest to each other. And Pierre, S.D., might be the most remote state capital in the mainland United States, but it's damn close to some great walleye fishing.

 

I can name all the presidents in order of service and probably list the years of service as well.
