IMUS CANNED!!

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by shockey, Apr 12, 2007.

  1. Just tossing this out there as a possibility - I think Sean McDonough is available and would do a great job in the morning slot (as long as he got a good side kick and and a good announcer to read the news).

Just saying. McDonough has a very good sense of humor and could have been the voice of the Mets if his father hadn't fallen ill.

    That's a good idea, Chris. I'd listen.

Olbermann is free in the morning. Don't know if he's got a contract with ESPN for that hour he does Patrick's show or not, I'd guess he would.

I know Wlat Harris ain't doing a damn thing. Maybe we could have Mike and the Wlat Dog.

That is a good idea for a potential replacement, if the FAN heads decide they want to maintain the morning format.

Okay, this is now officially a circus. We have Larry King on now and he has on fat Albert and James Carville. Okay, fine. BUT WHAT THE HELL DO BO "FRAUD" DEITL AND SERENA WILLIAMS HAVE TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS?

  7. Ron and Fez would make good replacements

I love listening to Carville. Regardless of what you think of him, he's got moxie.

  9. Is it true that Imus was only on 70 stations?
    That floored me.

Quality of audience is what was sold, not quantity.

Edit: Seeing the other posts I should add New York needs local programming to be successful. Not national/ESPN.

You're seeing a lot of stations going back to local programming with sports talk and talk radio in general. WTEM in Washington basically switched to about 10 hours straight of local about a year ago.

Yeah but it sucks royally. And they only did that because they lost their ESPN contract and Kornheiser at nearly the same time. That station needs an enama bad. Al Galdi is good, and a handful of others too, but clear channel, yeesh.
