Nearly $600 million for an embassy building? Yikes.

Right. I pulled it out of nowhere. The bill expands coverage to families up to 400 percent of poverty, which is $80,000. Those are facts. Even Charlie Rangel says these "are not the poorest of the poor," but then, he is likely just delivering right wing talking points.

The bill isn't aimed at the poorest of the poor, and no one has said it is.

But thanks for playing our game, we have some lovely parting gifts for you.

Poorest of the poor get Medicaid. This bill isn't designed for them, but like Zeke said, thanks for playing.

ahahahahaha. I get it. Thanks for playing our game. hahahahaha. You said that because they say that to losers on game shows at the end. I get it. Which one of you made that up? Oh wait, probably BOTH of you, because you both had time when you WEREN'T reading higher to get the context. Yeah, that would probably be it.
But, hey, that was pretty funny the way you put it. Playing our game!!! You funny guys! You kill me!

"However, everybody knows that the US health-care system is seriously out of whack, and seriously out of step with the rest of the world. NOBODY likes their insurance companies, and more and more, people are realizing how thoroughly the medical profession has sold its soul to them."

Well, I'll give you this Fenian. You don't, you know, generalize or anything. That would be, like, wrong. And stuff.

Ol' Dubya is just cementing his legacy as a "compassionate conservative"...

So this is how a talking point dies.

    With bitter, bitter sarcasm.

Amazing still that it took Bush six full years to figure out what the fuck a veto is and even then he's only used it four damn times, two of them on stem cells, one on a bill that would have forced troop withdrawals and now this one -- which would fund millions' of kids' health insurance with an increase in cigarette taxes.

This veto benefits insurance companies and tobacco manufacturers and who else?

To use the Buddy Ryan approach: All he does is veto bills that will save lives.
