You're really showing how little you understand of our system. Our Constitution is a federal thing. Public schools and libraries are state and local things.

Every time I point out your logical phallacies you come up with stirring arguments like STFU. All of your arguments are emotional ones. Mine are on principle. And it shows by how you have to pull out the STFUs.

Methinks Tony just read some Ayn Rand or something and he's got a giant hard-on for "unfettered capitalism".

That's OK, Tony. You'll grow out of it.

Most people do by the time they're 18 or so but I guess it's gonna take you a little longer.

No, that would be the answer if the kid were an adult.

Since it's a kid, his answer is to avoid the question and to scold us to stop throwing thought-clouding tugs at the heart strings at the masses.

Public schools are state and local things? Oy vey!

That settles it. I'm getting the mayor to buy my groceries!

Even more ironic it was your party that was making all the pro-slavery arguments.

Moreover, your post shows you have no leg to stand on in the present discussion so you have to change the subject.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I wasn't much of a Democrat in the 1850s. More of of a Whig, really.

If you didn't know that, then you're way out of your league in this discussion. Do you think property tax levies are done by the IRS, too?

  9. That's the whole point of this argument. I'm arguing that helping out a child get healthcare trumps any principle/ideology. You don't. You say principle/ideology is more important and too bad if they get sick.

If that's your opinion, that's fine. But you have to understand what a cold, heartless prick you sound like.

And again, the facts are against you so you have to go to the heartstring tugging. Telling.

  11. By the way, your whole federal vs. state funding thing crumbles when you realize that the money handed out for s-chip is handed out by the state. But whatever, more stupid facts getting in the way.

Except that your preferred style of government throughout history has invariably led to gulags. How ironic that you would call someone else a cold, heartless prick.
