OK, let me explain it again really slowly. Helping the poor, the hungry and people who suffered tragedy is Christian. Helping assholes who use their faith to feel better about being assholes is not.

And yes, I have donated to a charity that protects Sandy Hook victims' families from the kind of vile character assassination that they have had to suffer. Some of the people doing to character assassination claim to be Christians by the way.

Of course conservatives give more to "charity."

Their donations to their churches to fight Teh Gay count as "charity."

 

The connection is that people are donating to victims. The difference is that one groups is a true set of victims who were affected by circumstances beyond their control. The other "victims" caused their own problems because they believe in discrimination.
