If for nothing else, I can't believe Indiana still runs class hoops while stinkin' KENTUCKY runs a one-class tournament, now the most notable all-comers tourney remaining (no disrespect, Delaware and Hawaii).

I have broadcast several of Mt. Vernon's games (shameless plug: Saturday's regional available at www.crosscomsports.com :) ), and they're very good. Strong outside shooting, four starters 6-4 and above, a very strong power forward in Daniel Turner who is a very hard worker, and a 6-7 jumping jack at center in D'Armond Davis who has Kevin McHale like arms. They're good, although Danville appears to be just as loaded.

Washington amazes me. How can one town in the middle of southwest Indiana have so many kids 6-6 and above? (and unlike Bubs' alma mater, they actually didn't move there, either).

Apparently, neither did mine, given they're both watching the Hinkle regional from the stands.

Boonville will stomp the shit out of Sullivan, then upset the Hatchets.

I'll be at the Hatchet House on Saturday to see it.

My alma mater got knocked out in its own sectional because four of five seniors were suspended while police investigate, at the least, violent hazing, at the worst, sexual assault of their own teammates.

After leaving Terre Haute ... ah, nevermind, there was a joke there somewhere but I can't bring it off.

Only good thing in Sullivan is a less-shitty-than-normal Burger King.

The high school career of DeShaun "The Next LeBron" Thomas is over -- Fort Wayne Luers loses in the morning round of regionals to Southwood.

If Luers is 14-10, either Thomas was not as good as he had been before, or the schedule was tougher, or the rest of his team was just not very good.
