As much as I'm sure everyone else on here is enjoying your name calling, I don't care about it.

I'm on here looking for a job. Not a fight.

For the record, about two weeks after the posting came out and I had sent in my materials, I sent an email to the SE to confirm he had received my stuff, and see how the hiring process was coming.

Haven't heard a thing back to this day.

Weird to see Bob Hammel still listed as part of the editorial staff there.

The very name evokes thoughts of "No interest in objectivity."

Despite his close ties to Knight, Hammel never did any cheering in the pressbox. In fact, he was about as stoic as it gets when watching the Hoosiers.
He also may be faulted for those ties, but he was able to always break stories on the team. And his game stories were usually played quite straight.

I was wondering about that. Hammel takes a bath on here a lot, but not being familiar with his work, I always wondered what exactly he did wrong. He was close with Knight and didn't try to hide it, unlike a lot of beat writers who probably are tight with the coach but keep that close to the vest.
