IOC bars Russia from 2018 Games

Like I said on the politics thread, the IOC should have followed the lead of the NCAA and just put Estonia on probation.

 

They're shaking in their boots in Swaziland.

 

According to some reports, the KHL may not allow players to play in the Olympics as well as the NHL...which leaves the Euro leagues, the AHL/ECHL and Juniors to put together teams...hell Slovenia and South Korea might medal!

 

Some ECHLer will kneel for the anthem and Trump will put out a bunch of tweets pointing out the low ratings, without having a clue why they crashed.

 

Russia was banned from the Winter Olympics. It still showed up in full force

At least 168 Russian athletes are competing in the Winter Olympics in spite of the toothless ban, and that number could go up by the the end of the games. I have to agree with the take here. Some folks got paid and paid well.

And now we've got a Russian stupid enough to talk trash about the ban after winning a medal, giving the IOC an excuse to strip him of the medal and do it by following the rules.
