Anyone know if you can have the GPS running and music playing at the same time?

You can on the 4s, so I assume you can on the 5.

We get cell phone allowances at work, too. Pretty nice.

Was there for the launch today for and it was kinda cool to be a part of something people all over the world participated in, also because I got to play with it a little bit before the doors opened.

Just found out I'm getting one from my company, so I'm pretty pumped. It's a cool device.

That's what I did today. Got the 4S for $99. Liking it so far.

Checked out the 5 a few days ago. Wasn't impressed with how they just lengthened it a bit and didn't make it any bigger. If you're going to increase the screen size, do it diagonally, not vertically.

  6. it's apple fucking with us again. They KNOW most people want a screen size change, with everything that samsung is offering through the Galaxy 3 and the Note, so they only kinda give it to us, so they have something else to offer with the 6, or 5x or 5Y, or whatever they are going to call it. I don't think anyone questions whether iPhone is better or easier to use than most Android products, but start offering us some of the things we actually want and can use on a daily basis. That new Galaxy commercial is only funny because it is so true. The dude who has his mind sufficiently blown because the headphone jack was moved from top to bottom isn't too far from what the typical Apple geek or 60% of the people who stand in line for the release can be like.

I looked at the Galaxy. Too damn big. I can live with the screen of the 4S being a little smaller.

Seems like the thing the Galaxy commercials push the hardest is the picture sharing. Well, I don't know enough people (any, really) who own a Galaxy for that to matter.

I don't really want a wider phone. I'm a girl and if the phone was much wider, it wouldn't fit comfortably in the palm of my hand. Or in the pocket of my jeans.

This screen size is optimized for watching things in 16:9 widescreen.

So I haven't yet gotten my 5, but in preparation, I'm trying to figure out what to do with the photos of my son on my current 4. I'm trying to figure out iCloud, but so far I haven't been able to pull the photos off my phone and view them on my iPad. Thinking I might need iOS 6, but I'm worried about losing the photos. Has anyone updated to iOS 6? Did you lose your data?

If you have a Mac, you can open up iPhoto and you can download the photos from your phone to your computer. You can put them in a specific folder on your computer and when you get your new phone, add that folder under the Photos tab in iTunes and it will sync those photos to your phone.
