There is no way RG3 will be the one who is gone.

I think the Seahawks are using Wilson the way teams should use quarterbacks who can run. Granted, Wilson is probably more coachable than Kaepernick and RG3, so they may feel more confident that he won't do anything too stupid.

We don't know if RG3 is even capable of running the way he did in 2012. But if I'm the Niners, I let Kaepernick run.

Fair point, but they each won their division and got booted in the first round of the playoffs.

Plus, RG3 was playing on a bum wheel for a few of those games. He also threw fewer interceptions and lost fewer fumbles over more games.

So, basically, I'll call it a wash and live with it.

At the end of the day, RG3 is nowhere near as bad overall as he was against the Bucs.

He just happened to have an off-day against the worst team in football.

Not to derail this discussion, but is he a hall of famer?

He wouldn't be a Hall of Famer if he was a Hall of Famer.

Yeah, incarceration aside, he's nowhere close to being a Hall of Famer.

If you read this Breer piece where he talks to Gruden again, it's really not about one game. The coach just flat comes out any says he's at square one at the position and that he's been coddled too long. And he talks about going back to the zone read pistol stuff because that's all he can handle.

It's over in DC, kids. It really is. He may put it together somewhere else, but I've never seen a coach speak about a play this honestly. It's clear Gruden realizes he's in deep shit if he ties his ship to the anchor that is Griffen.

I've never had extensive dealings with any of these three guys but judging from what I've seen, heard and read, when it comes to intelligence Wilson >>>> Kaepernick and Griffin.

Have you lost your mind? The only thing crazier than bringing in Vick as a mentor is someone ask (apparently in all seriousness) if Vick is a Hall of Famer. He's had three or four really good years.

I understand the sentiment that Griffin is Snyder's pet project, but I'm glad to see Gruden giving him some tough love and I can't see them giving up on Gruden too quickly. Griffin needs a kick in the ass. I can't believe that the guy we saw his rookie season suddenly is incapable of running an NFL offense. I think Cooley nailed it ... he has the yips and has zero confidence. I'd like to see Gruden help him get it back, if they have the time. I think he is salvageable, but it might be beyond repair in DC.

To me, it's the same old story. Young QB shows flashes of talent, the team around him is below average, and he is not given enough time to bounce back from a slump.

Not sure this particular story has been written yet. At least in football.
