Is the Santa Claus-dying kid story made-up b.s.?

Admittedly, I didn't read it very critically yesterday. I was telling Mrs. Whitman about it last night and had to look up to see where the kid was from, and it seemed difficult to find any kind of information like that in any of the stories.

I think that there is about a 1 percent chance that the story is true.

It doesn't matter if it's true. It speaks to a larger issue.

I assumed it was true when I first read it, because I had heard of the writer and it's a good-sized paper.

However, the story is long on Santa's side and short on everything else -- not even the hospital's name?

Could be a case of wanting to get boffo story in the paper so that you go with the one source and hope he's legit. After all, why would he lie?

I could see the paper not naming the kid, but the hospital?

And if this really is a case of Santa making up a story, adding that he was a Ranger would be right in line with that.

I would hope the reporter at least called the nurse to confirm. Santa would have her number, right?

That just looks like that Regiment is taking his word on it.

I wish it was a more trusted source, like Humans of New York.

Wait a minute. Are you suggesting that Santa Claus isn't real?

His Facebook is peppered with Clinton Body Count-type memes. And he definitely has a favorite cable news network.
