But the popular vote doesn't elect the president. That's part of our constitution.  And from what I've read around here, popular will of the people isn't supposed to count for shit because we have an activist Supreme Court that is the Supreme Law of the Land.  I guess it depends on whether or not it serves your particular purpose or motive as to whether you run and grab the "popular support" defense.

And the more I think about that, the more I think that statement on Gore's alleged injustice smacks of hypocrisy.

That is an answer. All Kerry had to do was tell people to ask themselves, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" He didn't do it.

Instead, he saluted the crowd at the convention and began months of douchebaggery.

That's because Johnnyboy Kerry is a career U.S. Senator, who's used to being spineless - the objective being say what you want, blow who you choose in order to stay elected. Principles? Doesn't matter.

At least you can say Bush is CONSISTENT in his beliefs.

Yep. No matter how many times science and/or history proves those beliefs wrong.

I didn't say he was right. He's consistent, and as a leader, it's clearer to know where he stands. Kerry? Try defining that boob. (Finger to the wind, check the latest CNN poll, compare it with the staff poll, see where the money is coming from, decide.)

There's some true inconsistency. First the rebate is criticized for being offered, then you imply it should have been more.

Way off on your HoH definitions, BTW.

  7. It's clear where Bush stands?
    It is?
Bush  is against the DHS before he was for it.
Bush is against campaign finance reform; then he's for it.
Bush is against a 9/11 commission; then he's for it.
Bush is against an Iraq WMD investigation; then he's for it.
Bush is against nation building; then he's for it.
Bush is against deficits; then he's for them.
Bush is for free trade; then he's for tariffs on steel; then he's against them again.
Bush is against the U.S. taking a role in the Israeli Palestinian conflict; then he pushes for a "road map" and a Palestinian State.
Bush is for states right to decide on gay marriage, then he is for changing the constitution.
Bush first says he'll provide money for first responders (fire, police, emergency), then he doesn't.

    And a personal favorite:
Bush:"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden."
Bush: "I don't know where he is. I have no idea and I really don't care."

OK, Fenian. Show me a real man of integrity 50 miles from D.C. Someone who a conservative or a liberal can with a straight face and without rolling their eyes, say "good one."

    You're on the clock.

That kind of research can be hell, can't it.

  10. So, we've moved from "Bush is a leader. You know where he stands." to "They're all bums." in the distance of two posts. Turns out there's not much distance between naivete and cynicism after all.
    To answer your questions:

    D -- Russ Feingold.
    R -- Sam Brownback.

Asking that dumbfuck to do research is a lost cause.

Take a look at his example about the steel tariffs. He's obviously completely, blissfully clueless about any of the economics involved in that decision.

He's just a one-note record, blathering the same hypocritical inconsistent bullshit.

Now he'll come back at me with some sophomoric comment about how I don't get enough sex or some shit like that.

He's truly a sad ultraliberal who simply can't handle the fact that his candidates fucked up their chances to win the last two elections.

  12. Yeah, it took all of four minutes, and that was with the noisy tantrum from the troubled child in between.
