Also showing why Mike Sherman never got a second chance in the NFL.

  2. Man, those were bad... First INT was terrible. He was stepping out of the throw. And who was that ball intended for? There was no one offensive player even close!
The second, not a great play, wasn't his completely his fault. The 3rd and 4th were equally putrid. WTF was the throwing to on the 3rd one (the deep ball?), he either overthrew one guy (throwing into double coverage) or underthreew the deep man, or he was trying to throw the ball away.
The last one was under pressure, back foot throw that was off-target.

But, he's supposed to start again next week.

As bad as it was, and it was admittedly ugly, especially that first quarter, there were flashes. Montreal has nothing to lose by going with him right now.

If it doesn’t work out for Manziel, he can hang out in Las Vegas forever.

You could write a book about the greatest college QBs who never stuck in the pros. Tebow, Leinart, Weinke, Andre Ware,, Toretta, Ward, Weurffel...all Heisman winners. Joey Harrington, Chuck Long,

Awhile ago I tried to explain to a friend why success in college doesn't necessarily equate to success in the pros for QBs. I got so caught up in all the possible factors I got frazzled and said "it just doesn't, OK?"

I think it has more to do with college than the difficulty of the pros. I think some QBs enjoy such a talent disparity on both sides of the line, when things even out in the pros, they're lost. I also think that the new salary guidelines for draft picks makes people think some qbs are bigger busts than they are. Teams aren't risking that much picking a guy a round or two ahead of where his talent should put him. If it was the old way, teams had more of incentive to only select a qb where they thought he was "worth".

Before this moment, he was well on his way.

Skins had that rookie RB too who went for like 1500 yards.

For a moment in time, the Redskins' future was right before out eyes.

    And then this ...

So we'll never know what might have been with RG-III and the Skins.
