    Uh, you and your cronies have done plenty of lumping with the liberals on here, so I'll do it to my heart's content, thank you very much.

    Yahoo, printdust. Keep slapping the back of your neck to bring it up to the proper shade.

    I can only imagine what the eight pages of "discourse" on this thread has been like.

    It's been the usual luddite-vs-enlightened grudge match . . .

    Wow, and I'm not even a Hab. Just as American as you. Though I agree with someone else, you seem disappointed that the terrorists up there failed.

    It's truly an incredible Robertson-style "the heathens must die"-type laydown. Every 20-30 years, this country gets REALLY
    stupid, but this cycle is worse than most . . .

    Based on your rants against Canada Bubblehead, I'm assuming that you're saying one reason America was attacked is because we're so "left-leaning." So does this imply that if we'd move more to the right -- outlaw gay marriages and divorces, put to death sinners who really offend us, etc -- then Islamic terrorists won't attack us anymore? I ask based on your statement shown below:

  8. Dear Alleged Followers Of Jesus;
    This is not about religion.
    This is about the civil institution of marriage.
    Religion ought to play no role in this.

    Sincerely,
    Your Vestigial Common Sense.

    p.s. -- Take me out for a walk some time. I'm dying in here.

    I didn't realize (until some of the more conservative posters here straightened my liberal butt out) that God was a thug. You mean I've believed in a thug all these years?

    If God is a thug, then we shouldn't pray to him. After all, America doesn't negotiate with terrorists.

    The same here with the gubernatorial race. Three Dems knocked heads to go up against one of GOP House reps to replace the outgoing governor. The guv didn't look to giddy when he had to shake hands with the winner (sect. of state). He was unofficially jockeying his econ. development guy and he got beat.

    This should be a couple of months of pure mud flinging over the place. ;D BTW, Governor Vilsack, you don't stand a chance in hell of winning in '08 vs. Hillary or anyone else.

    One part of the Old Testament that is consistent with the NT and society today is that God wants obedience and there's a penalty for disobedience. Israel was swept away by its sin into captivity. Churches, in the instance of Revelation they were community-based and not denominationally-based, were called out for their compromise. Five of the seven in fact, and were told where they stood with God and what the consequence would be. Those ain't my words.
