It seems Deadspin is about to go guns blazing at ESPN re: sex rumors

While I still think the way they went about it was juvenile and cruel, Deadspin obviously picked two stories that were verifiably true. The randy Marketing VP story checked out.

While you can debate their methods, and now that they're years beyond mainstream, people should, they're not idiots over there.

Whatever you say... Your defense of misogynists has been noted.

Yes, when they went after that female VP for sleeping with another VP in the company, that was an assault on mysogynists everywhere. ::)

The truth is, you have such an issue with ESPN that you want to see the company attacked no matter which individuals might be hurt in the process or how little integrity Deadspin demonstrates in the process.

    poo's logic ...

Verified stories of affairs at ESPN = bad
Finding pics on the Internet of a girl Steve Phillips slept with and making fun of her looks = good

The story of the affair hadn't been verified when Deadspin ran it. They even admitted they were running things they couldn't verify.

I never looked up a picture of the girl nor did I make fun of her looks. I simply said that she was responsible for her own actions.

Apparently, TSP is as unconcerned about accuracy as the people at Deadspin are.

Umm, so Katey Lacey and Stephania Bell are mysoginists?

This didn't have a damn thing to do with combatting mysogyny. And you know it.

Here is one more negative view, straight from Deadspin:

    Subject: You're An Asshole

What you did today was childish and seriously damaged an innocent woman's quality of life because ESPN didn't hand you a scoop on a silver player. It reflects terribly on everyone with a sports blog. Fuck you. You're a piece of shit.
