It's 2017! Happy New Year!

Lucy Hale, whoever the hell she is, looks absolutely thrilled to be stuck on the Rockin' Eve B-Team in the rain in New Orleans. She has a "Get my agent on the phone" look on her face.
But at least she started the broadcast by explaining to us all what a fleur de lis is.
Between Mariah and this, this show has been comedy gold.

 

There is a lot of money on the table for a producer who wants to put together a halfway watchable New Year's Eve show. Year after year, it is self-parody. We ended up watching, for some time last night, a re-broadcast on public television a White House concert to honor, I believe, Carole King. While everyone else was bitching about Mariah Carey, we were watching Justin Timberlake knock an Otis Redding cover out of the park.
