It's a peace loving religion, 'cept for the 5,000 women killed annually

Well, you can go ahead, but the point will still stand that blaming the entire religion is, by definition, racist.

But by all means, continue to lump people together indiscriminately. It's a big scary world, and it's hard to think about stuff.

You should have added: and know fuck-all about.

\Which is most of what you post, along with your bumboy Hondo.

I've caught their act for a few years now. I'm not impressed. And neither are 5,000 young women each year.

Why do you hate women, JR?

Oh God will you all STFU!!! We were having a reasoned debate there and now you start making stupid generalizations again.

And I credited you for that, in contrast to those who say, "Islam bad."

Ah yes. When you're cornered, the last resort of a scoundrel is demagougery and the type of moronic logic of the kind seen in the retort above.

The definition of racism is to define any individual by their race or religion and assume that another religion is superior to another.

Tell me you don't fit that definition to a tee, Poin, seriously, try to make that claim. It's all right there in the text of your posts.

    Oh, but you're not racist.

Same goes for Hondo -- a five-star generalizer -- and new contender Dammit. They use the same I'm-not-a-racist garbage when spewing out views that clearly are.

It's a horseshit double game you guys play, and I'm calling you on it.

And admit it, Mr. Big Heart, you wouldn't give two shits about these women if they didn't confirm in your flawed world view the racist-at-its-heart point you're trying to make.

Because if you were truly as eglitarian and caring as you claim to be in your retort to JR, you'd be raising hell about Irish Catholic girls who have been killed getting illegal abortions in Ireland because the Catholic hierarchy hasn't allowed it there. You'd be up in arms about Hindu and Sikh women killing themselves over arranged marriages or other familial slights similar to those of the Turkish Muslims. You'd start threads devoted to the powers-that-be in a myriad of belief systems who distort the core values of their beliefs to ostracize, injure or even kill women.

As many have mentioned, the impetus here is on the flawed people, not the religions they bastardize out of all recognition. But you'll never acknowledge that simple point.

Because that would mean admitting you're wrong. That would mean admitting you're racist.

I'll cut thru all your treakle, bubbsy and get to your money shot:

Okay, give me the post where I defined any individual by their race.

Then, give me the post where I assumed another religion is superior to another. I can't wait to read it.

There's 5000 posts of mine to choose from.

    Have at it.

    Treacle.

And that's a hell of a post, Bubbler.

    Spot on.

Here's the money shot: By saying that Islam is not a peace-loving religion -- or, more to the point -- for singling it out above all the other religions as being non-peace loving based on the actions of lunatics within its midst is racist. Or at the very least, religionist.

BTW, were you a crusader for Islamic women's rights before 9/11? (It's an honest question).

Pick any one of your posts on this threads in which you damned all believers of Islam because of the actions of a few. You've got about 100 posts on this thread, shouldn't be hard to pick out the 95 or so in which you did that. Hell, if you want to get technical about it, you could just start with the damn title of the thread.

I can't wait for the response here. I'm sure it'll be something along the lines of "But I have many Islamic friends."

Um, the "treakle"(sic) you refer to is what makes your thread title silly. You can't dismiss his examples, because it shows that unless you want to assume the position that "religion is evil," you can't assume the position that "Islam is evil," based on an extreme example of it. All religions have extremes that misrepresent the faith.
