It's a peace loving religion, 'cept for the 5,000 women killed annually

I've posted, many times, that the trouble-makers among Islam are a very small minority. I said it on this thread 1-2 pages ago. Some of you are so hell-bent on generalizing me and my opinions that you don't take the time to notice that I'm not generalizing about all Muslims -- just the small minority who want to kill, maim, blow up and otherwise do harm to anyone who doesn't want to worship or live as they do.

I'm a Christian who happens to be a registered Republican, so I guess in your eyes, that makes me a right-wing fundamentalist. But trust me, dude, I do not want to take away your rights.

 

Do you think the 5,000 women murdered by "honor killings" think it's a religion of peace?

 

You could say the same about the people killed in the name of every major religion.

Why do you focus on Islam? It's either racism or a complete lack of knowledge regarding history?

 

As has been pointed out several times here, honor killings are found in other religions, other cultures.

But you seem to miss that because it doesn't fit in with your anti-Muslim rantings.

You need to find a new hobby. Why don't you go bash some Hindus or Zen Buddhists.

 

I missed that. What other religions have 5,000 honor killings this year and last year and the year before? I don't ask that as a flame, I just don't know.

Well, it certainly is Islam's time in the hot seat. But I'd argue that those killings have much more to do with repressive political regimes that have hijacked a religion for their purposes.

I'm not aware of a central Islamic hierarchy that's advocating those killings. Are you?

 

They don't invite me to their committee meetings.

What it SAYS is that since you think they're so damn without fault, go spend some time with the Hezbollah RAGHEADS, RAGHEADS in that they belong to SAID group.  We'll see how long you stay alive.
