No changes in Oxford, as Ole Miss can't afford to buy out the full balance of Andy Kennedy's contract, which (insane as it seems to me) did not include a buyout clause.

Paul Hewitt ends up at Coastal Carolina after the NCAA cavalry runs Cliff out of town. ;)

I can think of worse ways for that to work out for everyone involved, except maybe Cliff.

Vitale just said he hopes Sidney Lowe gets another year. Fans of 11 other ACC schools enthusiastically agree.

Has there ever been a head coach Vitale didn't defend?

That's about as telling as it gets. In Vitale-ese, that means even he thinks Sidney is gone.

ESPN during the Ky-Fla game just reported that Pelphrey is out at Arkansas. I'm sure the violation didn't help his cause to stay employed.

He looks good in a suit.

    That ain't enough.

This is the second time in a row Arkansas has hired a coach who was expected to be the next big thing only to have both shit the bed.

They shit the bed by letting Nolan go in the first place, especially in the way Broyles handled it.

That debacle was one of the best trainwrecks ever... Katz's story, which neglects to say what Pelphrey's record at Arkansas was, says the wish list is Anderson and Buzz Williams.

I second that trainwreck. The way Broyles handled it and the way Nolan reacted to it stands out as the shining example on how blow up a good thing running.
