Now I'm told it's either Smith or Anderson in Arkansas.

I'm stunned that the Arkansas job is apparently considered a good, if not really good, one.

For years they were the only school in the SEC West that won big, consistently.

I'd think a decent coach who can recruit can win that division four out of six years.

Is Rick Majerus still alive or has his cholesterol finally exploded his veins?

Tubby in Atlanta? Could be a lot worse ... and he won't blink in that job. After tolerating the lunatics in Lexington as long as he did, Georgia Tech should be very doable for him. Shoot, I could have lived with him in Raleigh, though given the way the supposed fans didn't like Herb Sendek's deliberate offensive sets and such, it's easy to see that Tubby might have had a difficult making inroads there.

Arkansas is a good job. Very nice arena, an area which craves its college basketball amidst a conference which claims to, but doesn't. The SEC West was shut out on NCAA Tournament bids. Except for maybe Anthony Grant in Tuscaloosa, it's ripe for the picking.

Gottlieb and Parrish both listed Arky as the No. 1 opening right now.

When does Billy Gillispie stop being paid by KU and get back into coaching?

Gillispie would be a good fit at OU.

You mean UK right? He's been spending a lot of time around Lawrence with his buddy Bill Self, but I don't think he's on the pay roll. ;)

He's been scuffling at St. Louis the past couple of years, although he did have some good underclassmen this year.

Supposedly he's the top choice in Lubbock.

Reports are that he is set to take the Utah job again.

UPDATE: He's now unsure about the job.

UPDATE 2: He's pretty sure he's interested again.

UPDATE 3: Now he's thinking it might not be a good idea.

UPDATE 4: He's interested in talking now, as long as they "don't have any deaf kids" on the roster.
