What's the point of moving to Arkansas? I understand the whole deal with him and Nolan; but this doesn't seem like a move up from one sister-fucking school to another one.

Smart move. In the Big 12, Mizzou will never beat Kansas or Texas. Arkansas will win the SEC West by default most years.

Mizzou could match anything Arkanpig throws at them.

Arkansas is much better job than Mizzou. More money, better facility, better conference, easy division to win.

Correct. Already been mentioned, but since the question was thrown out there, AQB answered. Again.

LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss aren't setting the basketball world afire. That leaves Mississippi State, which isn't doing much these days, and Alabama, which is probably the top of the smoldering heap.

A worthwhile coaching investment is ripe for a big return here. Quickly.

If what I'm hearing is correct, Anderson is looking at a millions dollars more year at Arkansas than what he is currently making at Mizzou.

Roughly 2.6 to 1.6 and Arkansas is making it a long-term, seven year deal, something Mizzou wasn't willing to do.

One potential hiccup is what will become of Paul Pressey's kids, who both play for Anderson now.

Pressey and Anderson have been friends for decades, since the Tulsa days, and that is a factor.

And the facilities at Arkansas, a 20,000 seat arena that is for the exclusive use of basketball. The only other event held there is Wal-Mart's annual conference. No other school has such an arrangement.

It would be kind of funny to see two sides of the Walmart family tree get into a bidding war over Mike Anderson.

Providence better move quick if it wants Cooley. 'Aint necessarily a done deal.
According to the Bridgeport paper, NC State's been kicking the tires on him.

Stevens would be a fool to leave for Indiana. He's got a much better-organized and supportive university and athletic department than he would have at IU. What would be higher expectations? Continuing his success at Butler, where he gets a guaranteed 20-25 wins just by being in the Horizon League? Or being leaned on as the latest savior for IU basketball? If I'm Stevens, I'm staying right where I am.

In other news in the IU system, IUPUI's Ron Hunter leaves after 17 years for Georgia State. He really can't do any more than he has at IUPUI, especially with no arena on the horizon. Plus, the CAA, as Hunter notes, is a better class of mid-major. Georgia State has a good hire here.

I hate to say it, but it's a complete no-brainer.

I love that he's doing this again especially since he famously did not have Capel listed among his 64 choices the last time he did this.
