Mizzou might make a run at Smart.
They got some cash and Anderson took his entire staff to Arkansas with him so no hoops coach left on campus.

This fanboy's very happy about the Martin hire for Rocky Top.

So, as of now, who's looking? I've got:

N.C. State, Ga. Tech, Mizzou, Utah and Oklahoma. No clue how I'd rank them, in terms of desirability.

I'd imagine he could get out of it if he wants, but ...

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond men’s basketball coach Chris Mooney has signed a 10-year contract extension with the Spiders after leading them to the Sweet 16.

If anyone wants Seth Greenberg -- I dunno, Evansville, Cal State Bakersfield, University of American Samoa [/saulgoodman] -- you can have him. So over him.

If Martin really was in line for the Mizzou job, I can't imagine why he'd take the Tennessee job instead. At least with the NCAA uncertainty.

maybe the Painter to Mizzou thing actually has legs. Martin would've known if it did when making his decision.

And the Painter-to-Mizzou thing confuses the hell out of me, too.

The Butler job is better than half of those in power conferences, for at least as long as IU struggles. And by the time IU is good again, he'll have a substantive base to work from.

I think I've come around on Stevens not needing to make a move. Two Final Fours at Butler are going to speak pretty loudly if/whenever he decides to move. I can only imagine the frenzy for them if one of them actually wins the whole damn thing.

Gregg Doyel reported that Bruce Pearl's kid ripped the Martin hire on twitter, then used the old, "My account was hacked!" defence.

Those Pearls sure are a talky bunch, huh?
