Yow's botched attempt to toss Fridge overboard a couple years ago was incompetence at its finest. Even better, she let him twist in the wind for a week or two after the season. No, not like it's important time for recruiting or anything.

Did I see somewhere that Martin turned down Miami?

I agree. I don't give two shits that he was a high school coaching stud there, and that Miami would be a tad of an upgrade from the Little Apple, but that's no reason to bail on KState.

Befuddles me how Mizzou comes up with Frank Haith. THAT is the best you can do? I could have seen Alford or someone like that.......then to say Haith was the first choice......BWAA-HAA-HAA.

That would have been the smart thing to do but she can't help herself.

Man, I couldn't care less about NC State, Yow, Williams or Doyel. But after reading Yow's comments and listening to the latest tantrum from the classic 12-year-old playground bully I know who comes out of this mess looking like the only adult in the room.

There's a report that Fresno State has narrowed their search down to Texas assistant Rodney Terry and Ohio State assistant Jeff Boals. I think this is a better approach than going after a retread head coach or a coach from a lower-level conference (Wayne Tinkle from Montana had been rumored for some times).

I find it more interesting for the purposes of this board that the Fresno Bee was apparently scooped about the Bulldogs' job hunt by Sports by Brooks.

If Crean is gone from Indiana, I could see him entertaining that.

Would you believe the playground bully had a chance to talk about his insults at another playground, and turned down the chance? That's what Steinberg is reporting.

    No question.

My understanding is that Sydney's predecessor was getting in the $400K neighborhood. There's a rough slotting system in play, here.

I'm not even convinced Stevens would leave for IU.
