And we know that the media, and let's be honest, if it had been a black kid with gun shooting an unarmed black kid, or a black guy with a gun, shooting an unarmed white kid, both would have been a daily blurb, if that, on page 16A.

I don't know exactly what you're trying to imply, but it was just a blurb by the media initially. Martin's parents contacted their sister-in-law who was an attorney, and she got the story out there by contacting civil rights activists and the national media. So actually, if it weren't for the family's very vocal insistence that something be done, the media would have left it a blurb, thereby making your point moot.

That's bull. If it had been the other way around, the media would've been playing it up. White guy gets killed by black kid in affluent Florida subdivision.
Good for Martin's parents for pressing the issue on this. This guy shot and killed this kid. He deserves to go to jail.

Yep, good for the parents for responding to the firestorm.

Look, Zimmerman's already taken in what $200k and counting for his defense fund. How many black shooters have ever taken that much in on a public defense fund? How about never, even collectively.

News cycle has moved on. No one cares about this one any more. Now it's all about going over the cliff.

Now that NBC is being sued you can bet they won't give the story much coverage.

Nice shot. @Boom, many are still interested in this. The lawsuit is interesting. I'm not a lawyer but I don't think it will go too far.

Prosecution is just doing a terrible job. Witness after witness have blown up in their face.

Did they not anticipate the cross examination?

It's pretty bad when your lame knock knock joke is the high point of your lawyering so far.

He took a lot of criticism for that joke, and it was bad.

But, it's hardly the high point of his lawyering The defense has turned a number of prosecution witnesses into witnesses that were more helpful to the defense case.

I'd call that pretty good lawyering, and think the prosecution should be getting (at least) as much criticism as the defense did for the lame joke.

I think both sets of laywers look like fools.
