Do you have a criticism of the defense beyond the knock knock joke?

I think this is all posturing until Zimmerman takes the stand. And he will have to take the stand to prove the Stand Your Ground defense, since it hinges on his mental state and thoughts during the incident.

With all the help he's getting from the state I don't see why he'd need to take the stand. They'll have him exonerated before the defense opens its arguments.

From what I have read, he really doesn't have to take the stand, because the prosecution has shown multiple videos of his police interviews, including him reenacting what happened with police officers. He covered what he was thinking in those videos, which were already introduced into evidence, and from what I have read, he was fairly consistent in his telling of events.

Still doesn't change the fact for me that he was out with a gun looking for trouble. It sounds like they overcharged the case, when they might have had a chance at a manslaughter conviction, and the prosecution has not done very well. From what I have read in multiple places, the defense attorneys have almost had the prosecution witnesses providing their defense for them. I have read multiple commentators suggesting that it seems as if they state has thrown the prosecution -- almost as if they had to prosecute it, but they aren't trying very hard. It also sounds like the police officers who didn't want to charge, and then were thrown under the bus when a special prosecutor was appointed and took it to a grand jury, went out of their way to not be helpful for the prosecution -- to the point where they were almost testifying for the defense.

I see certain people saying that. I see others saying the state is doing a good job poking holes in Zimmerman's story.

Unless someone can prove to me that had Zimmerman stayed in his car Martin would have dragged him out and beaten him, as far as I'm concerned, Zimmerman is guilty.

Personally, I have no feelings one way or the other about the case. Both parties share some of the blame for what went down that night.

That said, watching the case unfold, I find it hard to believe Zimmerman is found guilty. His stories, unlike the prosecution's star witness, matches up fairly well. There are a couple of minor details (did Trayvon jump out of a bush or just walk up from behind?), but the overall gist of Zimmerman's story has remained very consistent.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's amazing how polarizing this case has been. A lot of people have jumped on one side without knowing the facts, and that's disturbing.

Can you prove that he wouldn't?

Have you actually studied the case any? Have you read the transcripts?

All he had to do was stay in his car, as the operator told him to do, and none of this would have happened.

And you know that FOR A FACT?

What do you think would have happened if he stayed in his car?
He got out of his car and got his ass beat. He should have taken it and moved on.
