If you don't get why your post was deleted, there's something wrong.

As a Florida resident, I must say that people who are saying on social media that "this verdict can only happen in Florida" can go fuck themselves. This state is batshit crazy to be sure (and therefore so glorious for newshounds) but is absolutely no more "racist" than other states, if that's how you look at this verdict. No, Zimmerman does not go to jail in 49 other states.

Sorry, just had to get that out. And couldn't exactly do it through my company's Twitter.

Most of the trash in Florida has relocated there from other states.

Wrong again. The native trash more than holds its own, having been beaten down since birth by this stifling humidity.

Now that the trial is over the judge can return to living in her van down by the river.

The prosecution might have required prodding because they could see they never had a case in the first place.

For selfish reasons, this was my first thought as well.

My wife and son landed in south Fla. today for the start of a weeklong church mission trip -- obviously inauspicious timing on their part.

I'm really hoping there's no Rodney King-style violence following this verdict.

I don't want to have to fly down to Florida and rescue my people from a fucking war zone.
