Zimmerman did not get what he deserved.

This was an easy manslaughter case, and the prosecution blew it by trying, and ultimately failing, to make it into something more. Now, instead of Zimmerman getting some punishment, which he deserved, he gets away scot-free. Except, maybe, from his conscience, which I hope will convict him of something, at least, even if the judicial system did not.

Martin didn't deserve what happened to him, either. That should be clear, based on what we know (even if that isn't everything), and the extent (or lack thereof) of Zimmerman's injuries.

This was a tragic, no-win situation that wasn't ever going to be anything else, for anybody, not even Martin's parents had Zimmerman been convicted.

I guess the folks predicting riots if there was an acquittal were wrong?

He had no reason to get out of his vehicle. I'll simplify that for everyone. Martin was not actively committing a crime.

Can someone give a good explanation why Zimmerman had to get out of his car?

I guess people are afraid they will be shot.

If by "scot free" you mean "will have to go into hiding in fear for his life and will certainly - and deservedly - lose any civil suit," I agree. If you actually mean scot free, you're wrong.

Is this your way of conceding that Zimmerman did not confront Martin?

Why should getting out of your car be seen as a provocative, or confrontational move?

Does anyone really think a "soft" guy like Zimmerman was interested in provoking Martin into a fistfight?

He shot a guy to death and walked away with no jail time. If that's not scot free, I don't know what is.

Perhaps because the dispatcher told him, "Just let me know if this guy does anything else."

Doesn't look like a riot to me. More like property damage.

Do you need to make racist comments in order to achieve an errection? Do you it find it impossible to achieve sexual climax if you can't giggle like a schoolboy while seeing how close you can come to crossing the line without actually typing "Darkies back to Africa?" If the moderator somehow gave you permission to make the old Coon Chicken Inn sign your avitar, would you drown in the subsequent ejaculation?
