People kill each other for any number of reasons and yes, I'm outraged at anyone taking another person's life. But if you can't see why the murder of an unarmed young man who committed no crime other than (apparently) being black, there isn't much point for discussion.

He can see it quite clearly.

He's trying to redirect the argument.

On the heels of President Obama's statement that if he had a son he'd look like Trayvon Martin. Ray Lewis also said that Trayvon Martin could be his son, too. "No, seriously. He might be my son. It's possbile, I don't know. I was in Florida 17 years ago."

Levity based on exaggerated racial stereotypes is just what this thread was missing.

Might want to review that last sentence (I think you want to add "is a big story" after "being black"). I think it's definitely a story. As I've said, Zimmerman should be tried and convicted. My point is that a huge number of the same people who insist this is a huge story will insist that when a black Zimmerman kills a white Travon it isn't a story.

  10. Regardless of race, there are reasons for this to be a big story:

    1. A 17-year-old was killed trying to get into his parents' house.
    2. The shooter was told he didn't need to follow the victim.
    3. Police did not run a tox screen on the shooter.
    4. Police DID run a tox screen on the victim.
    5. Police did not arrest the shooter.

This might be a game changer for this story.

And before the lockstep lefties race in with "Fox lies" please note that news departments of local Fox stations are not in anyway affiliated with the Fox News Channel.

This might (once again) turn out to be a story where the cops had more information (and some very important information, at that) than the general public.

That said, none of this happens if Zimmerman listens to the 911 operator who says not to follow Travon.

    You cannot be serious here.

There is no faster route to A1, for example, than when the black bogeyman kidnaps, rapes, or murders a white woman.
