So the Mystic Figment - according to this - has spoken to local teevee, but not the cops. Huh.

Given the Sanford PD, would that shock you?

    Just pathetic.

To intercede? Sure, if you want. But you don't have, or at least you should not have, the right to kill somebody to get your wallet or laptop back. Human life, even the life of a criminal, is worth more than a wallet or laptop.

OK, say Trayvon Martin indeed slammed George Zimmerman's head into the ground. First, does this mean Martin was OK under Florida's Stand Your Ground law? After all, Zimmerman was following him, and so could "reasonably" be perceived as a threat. Or does the law only cover you if you shoot somebody?

Second, if Zimmerman was on the ground having his head slammed, as Martin sat on top of him, how was he able to reach for his gun and fire it? Was he able to reach it as he was being beaten? Or did he take it out after Martin got up off of him?

Also, how can you get suspended for having an empty marijuana baggie? Wouldn't that be just, a baggie? Do I need to worry that my kids are going to get suspended if they leave their baggies in their lunchbox after eating the sandwiches contained therein?

Excuse me if I am highly, highly skeptical of the information the police provided. That department is in full ass-covering mode right now.

The most credible witness, the one who has stood up in public and the one who had to call police repeatedly to get them to listen to her version, the one in whose backyard the shooting occurred -- she says they were not in the midst of a struggle when the gun went off.

Sure, but even in my case, I grabbed the guy, and I pushed him up against the wall of a parking garage.

Now, I was pissed, but i was very cognizant not to let my anger overcome me, because I figured if I popped him in the mouth, he'd have a cause to file a criminal charge against me.

I didn't want that, as it would probably lead to both charges being dropped.

But, he had a camera in a bag on strap. He swung it at me, and it caught me right in the ear. Hurt like a bitch.

I yelled for help, and eventually a couple of construction workers came over. They didn't help me physically, but there presence settled him down enough that I was able to hold him until the cops came.

But, while I wasn't armed, I can see a situation where I interceded to stop him, and then needed to defend myself.

And, again, that's not what I'm saying happened here.

But, I know if I had called 911 before grabbing this guy, they would have told me to back off. And, I don't have to back off because a 911 operator tells me to. That's advice, not a order.

Not sure why the cops wouldn't have told this latest version of the story immediately in order to defuse things.

    If it were true.

Yeah, when you have one good reason for doing, or not doing, something, you don't need 10 bad ones.

You just give the good reason -- right away.

Not taking either side, but ...

So someone talked to the cops and not just "local teevee" as you non-condescendingly put it.

  11. Witnesses and evidence appears to be on Zimmerman's side...

    Which witnesses?

And why weren't these stories available to the press a month ago?
