Hopefully your wife doesn't cruise the street with a gun looking for confrontations, then.

Exactly. The kid was executed. I guess Zimmerman really wanted those Skittles.

What I'm hoping is that once the legal process plays out we find out the truth. And if the scenario you painted is accurate, then Zimmerman should be tried and if found guilty penalized to the fullest the law allows.

    But I'm willing to wait.

Executed. Yep. Right. Drip has spoken. Let's schedule Zimmerman's execution and be done with it.

Well, perhaps he should have taken the time to find out of the other individual was armed.

There are a lot of things we don't know about that night. I'd wager to say you sure as hell don't know whether he did what you suggest, unless you were there.

Again, if this guy stalked the kid and gunned him down for no reason, try him, convict him and lock him up. But I'd prefer that people wait until all evidence that can be gathered is gathered before we declare he "executed" the kid or "murdered" him, as some have posted here.

Here's an idea, let's have a murder trial and see what comes out.

I'm just saying, if Zimmerman didn't shoot Martin, I'm pretty sure Zimmerman would still be alive. I seriously doubt it was a "him or me" situation.

    And the plot thickens:

In his original police statement, Zimmerman said Martin knocked him down, slammed his head into the ground and went for his gun. And there's a 13-year-old witness:

Interesting analysis of Zimmerman's phone calls to Sanford police from 2001 on by local Channel 6
It shows that he made a total of 46 calls from 2001 to 2012. An average of
4.6 calls per year. For a period between February 2011 and January 2012 a total of 406 calls were made from area. This would mean that Zimmerman's calls accounted for over 1 % of total calls made for the year.

That seems like a lot for one person to make.

Has Roger Goodell launched an investigation into the bounty the Black Panthers put on Zimmerman?

Some of those calls seem strange, but others seem like he's trying to actually help. 4.6 calls per year is like 1 every 21/2 months. For someone in a Neighborhood Watch program, it doesn't seem that excessive.

I'll give my own example. In the last 3 years, I've been in situations where I or the person I'm with, has called 911 7 times. That's an average of 2.3 a year and I'm not in any neighborhood watch program.

    Those calls were as follows:

3 of them were for the drug dealers that were both living across the street (since moved) and down the street from us (still there, but much quieter and not as blatant). The cops told us to call them, rather than confront them, which we did. (I'm not a Zimmerman).

After the druggies across the street left, the house was empty for a couple of months until the owner found new (nice) tenants. But one night, while the place was empty, I heard considerable banging. I looked out my window, and saw some guy trying to break in. The door was locked, and the guy eventually ran off. I called the cops, and they eventually caught the guy, who apparently lived nearby and was wanted for beating up his girlfriend.
Another call was for a foreclosure right near us that had windows and a door left wide open. I don't want a trespassing charge, so my wife called the cops to come look. They came, and secured the house.

I was driving with my father one day on the highway, and we saw a car spinout and go into the median a short way. My dad called and notified 911 that there was an accident.

Another time, I was driving on the highway and a car got stuck in the snow, I stopped, and the other driver asked me to call to help them out. I did, stayed with them until the police came, then made on my merry way.

So, in a way, I can see that it may seem excessive for Zimmerman. But take into account that he was into the Watch program, it may not seem that much. I was thinking he was calling them 5 times a week or something like that, not 4.6 times a year.
