When I came home last night about 10 p.m., there was a kid on the corner near my house wearing a hoodie and talking on the phone.

Later when I went to take the dogs out, he was walking down the middle of the dark residential street, still talking on the phone, still wearing a hoodie with the hood up.

I somehow managed to refrain from shooting him though I stealthily kept and eye on him while pretending to pick up dog poop.

A few minute later either his fellow gang bangers or his mother picked him up in an SUV.

    Everyone survived.

I'm sorry, but I find the original event to be the most upsetting part.

Nice of ABC News to put their damn screen logo over the part where he stands the longest.

So are you saying we should consider the possibility that a police report that surfaced a month after the shooting, and was materially different from the initial report in the matter of Zimmerman's condition, could be incorrect?

    When is the sentencing?

I'll settle for the state of Florida or the feds taking over the investigation. And, you know, if the evidence pans out, a trial.

I believe the Black Panthers have already handed down the death sentence. And there will be no appeals allowed.

Well, we can all decide for ourselves what's upsetting. But I don't think we can do anything about the fact that sometimes people kill each other. But we can do something about bad, corrupt government trying to protect them for unclear reasons.

The more I read about it, the more I think the police were negligent enough at the outset that this will never get to trial. By avoiding evidence collection and half-assing it on the witness statements, they made a mess of the whole thing before it even began.

One big question will be revealed in the autopsy: the distance of the gunshot. If it was close range, it would go along with the police report about them being in the midst of a struggle; if there was considerable distance, it would match the witness who says they were not fighting when the gun was fired.

So should Zimmerman get life or the death penalty?
