If you're saying Jesse isn't a paragon of virtue, isn't a great and upstanding person, then I'm going to have to sit down. I mean, wow, that's totally and completely mind blowing. Really, who'd have guessed this day would come? Wow! Talk about ground-breaking shit!

Again, for those not tuning in, Jesse and Al speak for Jesse and Al. It's the mainstream, notably white, media who have anointed them as spokesmen for an entire race. There are other people the media can run to for opinion on Black issues.
Does that mean that Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh speak for white America?

Good local analysis of Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

    www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/stand-your-ground-law-protects-those-who-go-far-beyond-that-point/1222930

The Tampa Bay Times has identified 140 cases across the state in which "stand your ground'' has been invoked, and many involve defendants whose lives were clearly in jeopardy. But at least a dozen share similarities with what we know about the Trayvon Martin case, and they show the law has not always worked as its sponsors say they intended.

After reading that well-done article, and the examples of how Stand Your Ground has been interpreted, I say Zimmerman walks. Incredible.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe federal hate crime law gives two shits about Stand Your Ground. My guess is if the state doesn't get him the feds will.
