Hope somebody loses their job over that.

 

Zimmerman has been painted as a racist in this case, and from everything I've read, heard or seen, his personality didn't really fit that description. It's really pathetic that NBC decided to play an edited copy of the 911 call and further perpetuated that initial belief.

I had a gut feeling from the get-go that Zimmerman didn't target Martin because he was black. In the original, unedited 911 call, the dispatch asked Zimmerman if the subject was black, white or hispanic and initially Zimmerman didn't know. Later in the call, he saw the face and said he looks black.

 

It's amazing that whatever your feelings are on the case, you can find a story to back your beliefs. I don't know that I've ever seen a story this polarizing that has been covered as scatterbrain as this has been covered. The story seems to have a new wrinkle every day, only to get topped by another wrinkle that brings you back to your initial notion.

Strange case.

Not trying to excuse Zimmerman in any way but do we know that Martin didn't have record of violence?

Given the clown college way this story has been covered I'm not sure we do.

 

I wonder how many of the usual suspects will somehow miss the above post and manage not to comment on it. My guess: All of them.
